Name: Héloïse Roelandts

Home country: Belgium

"After my engineering studies, I wanted to enlarge my vision and go beyond the technical engineering topics. It was important for me to deepen my knowledge in management (human resources, marketing, business planning, etc.) before beginning my career.

Whilst in Glasgow, I managed to continue my passion for horses. I rode with the Glasgow University Riding Club, which was very important to me."

Why did you choose the Adam Smith Business School?

I choose the Adam Smith business School for the structure of the programs proposed, the numerous practicals and the accreditation of the School.

What did you enjoy the most about your programme? How has your degree helped you in your career?

I enjoyed the practicals, the very high quality of teachers and the visits and events organised by the School. Personally, this MSc opened my technical vison to understand better how a company works globally. Furthermore, the different backgrounds and culture of the students in the program allowed me to be more flexible in my work and way of thinking, as well as the ability to learn more quickly new things and competencies.

What have you been up to since graduating from the Business School?

After graduation, I came back to Belgium and began to work immediately. I began with a technical job and I am now in a managerial position focusing more on strategy and sustainability.
