New Climate, New Challenges

This research combines two elements a context setting paper by Gibb  (Housing Associations in Scotland: the Challenges of a Changing Context) with Neary’s overview of the strategic responses open to the Scottish housing association sector. Gibb’s paper identifies the external and internal drivers of the context and sets out a number of key themes facing the sector, such as, path dependency, heterogeneity, competition from within and outside of the sector and the implications of fiscal austerity.
