The impact of MSc Real Estate on my career

The MSc Real Estate programme at the University of Glasgow has been instrumental in shaping my career trajectory and enhancing my employability. Here’s a detailed account of how the programme has helped me acquire key skills and secure a graduate role three months before my graduation. 

Technical Competence: The rigorous curriculum provided me with a solid understanding of real estate principles, property laws, and market trends. This knowledge prepared me for the practical challenges in the real estate sector. Additionally, the programme honed my proficiency in tools like Excel, enabling me to conduct market research and property valuation effectively. 

Effective Communication: The programme emphasized the importance of clear verbal and written communication skills in real estate. Through various assignments and presentations, I developed the ability to negotiate deals, present properties, and write contracts effectively. My active listening skills were also enhanced, helping me understand clients’ needs and engage in meaningful conversations, demonstrating empathy and client-oriented service. 

Networking and Relationship Building: The programme provided numerous opportunities for networking with industry professionals, peers, and faculty. These interactions helped me build relationships and expand my professional network, opening doors to various opportunities in the real estate sector.
