The University of Glasgow has been ranked first in the UK for Dentistry in the new Complete University Guide 2019 that has just been published. Professor Jeremy Bagg, Head of the Dental School, said: “This is a tremendous result in a year that we are also top of the Times / Sunday Times Good University Guide for the second year in a row. The high quality, student-centred BDS programme together with our research profile, postgraduate programmes and role in international development combine to provide an exciting and vibrant environment. The unstinting efforts of our staff and the commitment of our students make this School a great place to work and study.”

This is the third time in the last four years that Glasgow has been ranked as number one for Dentistry in the Complete University Guide.

The Complete University Guide says of Glasgow, "Taking first place in the Dentistry subject table for the fifth time since we began publishing, it’s the University of Glasgow. Glasgow’s Entry Standards are unrivalled in this year’s table, and its Student Satisfaction and Research Scores are also very impressive.

"The course spans the entire repertoire needed for a dentist, from patient management to Prosthodontics, with course aims that are defined as producing dentists immediately fit to practice."
