We would like to welcome Alina Zorn to SCMH!
"Hi, my name is Alina and I am a new PhD student in the Baillie lab at the University of Glasgow. I am a student on the MRC Precision Medicine Programme that is jointly run between the University of Glasgow and the University of Edinburgh. My PhD project will focus on the development of a new drug modality termed PROTAC (proteolysis targeting chimeras), aimed at specifically degrading phosphodiesterase isoforms. I will also be using molecular modelling tools to aid drug optimisation and perform bioinformatic analysis to identify novel diseases that may benefit from novel PDE-targeting PROTACs."
