Scientist at work

Nicola Britton has recently attended the Future Leaders Development Programme.

Nicola advised 'For me I’d like to say I feel lucky to work in a supportive environment …That it was Christian and Jillian who encouraged me to apply for a place on the course as I know spaces are limited. Appreciate the support they both give the technicians within the School to develop.

The EQI 360 highlight some areas I need to work on (some of it I may use..some I may chose to ignore).  That I loved meeting people from very different specialties within the organisation and that often we still have the similar problems but could give a new perspective. That the course organiser Robin Henderson was very engaging,  highlighting the complexities when trying to develop changes in a large Institute. In applying for the course to broaden your knowledge of the University as a whole as well as yourself as an individual.'

The University of Glasgow Future Leaders programme aims to create a supportive environment for leaders to reflect on how they currently lead, and through a series of workshops, develop and enhance their leadership skills. Leaders will be supported in applying these skills via 1:1 coaching and action learning, as well as the option to contribute to projects on other programmes.
