The University is launching its new Helpdesk System, UofG Helpdesk, on 30 April. This replaces the current Supportworks system.

UofG Helpdesk will offer students and staff 24/7 access to a web Self Service portal to:

  • View and rate a knowledgebase of curated answers to common questions
  • Request services and report issues
  • View and update any requests/reports already submitted

This week will see a phased introduction of the new UofG Helpdesk launching with core student services now and the next content release planned to coincide with registration and enrolment later in the summer.

The goal of this soft launch is to “test and learn”, giving students and staff the opportunity to try it out and give feedback in a real-life working environment. We need your help by rating and commenting on the articles in the Knowledgebase, and to feed back on your overall experience of using the new UofG Helpdesk. Your feedback will help us to understand what works and what doesn’t and allow us to continually improve the user experience ahead of the Registration and Enrolment period in August and beyond.
