There have been some changes to the Senior Management Group – the body which advises the Principal and oversees much of the business of the University.

Professor Neal Juster has been reappointed for a further three years as Senior Vice-Principal and Deputy Vice-Chancellor. Professor Juster will continue to lead on three major projects: the Glasgow World Changing Transformation project, the development of our 2020-25 strategic plan, and the executive’s oversight of the capital programme through the Programme Governance Board.

Professor Frank Coton will take on additional responsibilities and will become Vice-Principal (Academic Planning and Technological Innovation). A new Vice-Principal (Learning and Teaching) will be recruited to join SMG.

The Principal, Professor Sir Anton Muscatelli, spoke to MyGlasgow News at a recent meeting of SMG and outlined what the group did and its membership.
