Binding: 18th-century mottled calf;  covers decorated with a single gold-fillet border;  gold tooled-spine;  marbled endpapers;  sprinkled blue-edged leaves;  green silk bookmark.   Size:  277 x 203 mm.

Annotations: Frequent marginal annotations in an early hand in quires a and b, all deliberately washed out - to judge from the resulting marginal stains;  several interlinear annotations in brown ink in an early hand, a few deliberately washed out.

Imperfections: g2 excised (stub visible);  wanting the blank leaf g6.
