Short Description
The courses which form Curriculum Enquiry 1-4 are the place in the programme where student teachers engage with the pedagogical subject knowledge of the different curricular areas.

D3 in Curriculum Enquiry 1A and 1B.

Assessment
This course will be assessed by means of an essay and a portfolio of work which demonstrates the student's understanding of curriculum pedagogical content knowledge and their capacity to design coherent curricular learner experiences for all learners.
Course Aims
To support students' spiral of progression of their understanding of curriculum pedagogical subject knowledge.
To support students with planning, preparation, delivery and evaluation of a school curriculum which is underpinned by their knowledge of educational and learning theories.
Intended Learning Outcomes of Course
By the end of this course students will be able to:
1. Explore a range of pedagogical subject knowledge factors of the different curricular subject areas
2. Explore and evaluate the dynamic relationship between curriculum, assessment and pedagogy
3. Design coherent curricular learner experiences for all learners
4. Demonstrate the professional values and commitments necessary for the Provisional Standards of Registration in Scotland
Minimum Requirement for Award of Credits
Students must submit at least 75% by weight of the components (including examinations) of the course's summative assessment.
